Baar Baar Dekho:

The debut director, Nitya Mehra chose a very unusual subject to begin her career. Baar Baar Dekho is a mixture of love, drama, marriage, focus on career, meaning of life and Guess What?
TIME TRAVEL * boom *

As the above mentioned genre goes undigested, so does the acting by the lead pair. No matter how cute the couple appeared on the screen, their acting goes over the top.

Jai Varma, a genius mathematician, has some purpose in his life and is focussed towards his career. On the other hand, Diya Kapoor, an artist, the only purpose in her life is to marry Jai Varma and have kids.

The expectations for the film was high when production houses like Dharma and Excel were involved.
The Movie promotions and the peppy and fresh music took the audiences excitement to the next level but well the movie could just not adhere to it.
*though now we have a new wedding song for the season 😉 *

The film is almost over by the intermission as every turns and twists are revealed by that time. Now, the film starts dragging and gets monotonous ‘alpha foxtrot’. The film has time travelling in it and the director wants the audience to accept it as it is. Logic is illogical, this is what the film is all about.

The film is pacy, with bits of good performances by Ram Kapoor, Rohan Joshi and Rajit Kapoor in guest appearances. Siddarth Malhotra, did the usual same acting as he does for all of his films. But the fact has to be accepted that the lead pair shared an amazing chemistry on the screen. Die hard fans of Siddarth and Katrina will find it a visual treat.

Give it a try this weekend and decide for yourself. ELTRIVATE rates it 3 out of 5.
