PINK: Hereby, one more nomination for Best Actor 2016 has been found. Each and everyone associated in making of this film, please take a bow. Finally, Bollywood has come up with a mainstream feminist film which focuses on young working ladies in Delhi.

Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, the director, has successfully made a film to which every Indian, specially women would easily relate. Sexual assault is the major issue, which the film is about.

Minal (Taapsee) and her two friends, Falak (Kirti) and Andrea (Tariang) are out for a rock show in Surajkund, Faridabad when they meet 3 boys, and one of them is a relative of a MLA. Boys take it as ‘the girls want’ when they sit down for a drink with them, and things started getting worse since then. Even after constant NO from the girls, the boys keeps on trying and the instinct accident happens. Andrea, being from North East India, the film also touches the sensitive issue of discrimination with North Indians in the capital city.

Amitabh Bacchan plays the role of a lawyer and delivers an award winning performance. Unlike the film TE3N, Amitabh in this film has a lot to do, which he does exceptionally.

Overall, the film is brilliantly made and is certainly a must watch. The film never goes low, and drags its audience in the very beginning. Mostly, films with social messages are boring and monotonous, but PINK is an exception. Expect some goosebumps this weekend.

ELTRIVATE rates it 4 out of 5.
