“Our mothers always remain the strangest, craziest people we have ever met”

                                                                                                                                                                                                           – Marguerite Duras

Anna Jarvis born in Webster, Taylor County, West Virginia on May 1st , 1864 became known worldwide for her unconditional and irrational love for her mother . Not only that she was a very active socialist and it was during one of those Sunday school lessons in 1876 that she drew an inspiration to celebrate a day exclusively for mothers . It was during this lesson that she said –

“I hope and pray that someone, sometime, will found a memorial mother’s day commemorating her for the matchless service she renders to humanity in every field of life. She is entitled to it.”

On May 10th , 1908, three years after her mother’s death Jarvis held a memorial ceremony to honour her mother and all others at Andrews Methodist Episcopal church, today the International mother’s day shrine , marking the official observance of mothers day.

Thus ‘THE MOTHER’S DAY’ was founded globally.

So lets take some time out and remember all those moments when you wanted someone and it was always your mamma you found beside you.

The time she bore the extreme pain to bring you into this world.

The time she kept up all night when you had fever, just to make sure it doesn’t go up.

The time when she called almost all the relatives to tell that you took your first steps or spoke your first words.

The time she felt sad to have to let you go to school alone, nevertheless she had to.

The time she felt really angry when u came back home with dirty clothes.

The time when u stepped into your puberty and you and your mother couldn’t understand each other, became strangers to each other.

The time she suspected you having a girlfriend/ boyfriend and asked you a million questions about it.

The time when even the most little of your achievements would become the talk of your as well as your neighbour’s house. Ha! Mother’s I tell you.

The time when you were low and thought your friend would call …but it was your mother who was at the other end of the phone.

The time when you had given up and lost all hope, it was your mother to push you and to have faith.

The time when you go out and expect your momma to call and she calls you that INSTANT.

There is too much and too many times that can be put into writing .  We all know mothers are always and constantly thinking about YOU.  All her fears, laughter, tears, joy, anger, happiness is dependent on YOU. She sacrifices her life and makes YOU her life. Let’s all take this day out to wish our cute, lil crazy and absolutely beautiful mother’s for whatever they have done for us and promises to keep doing until her last breath.

LETS ALL THANK OUR MOTHERS AND PRAY TO THE LORD TO KEEP THEM HEALTHY AND HAPPY ALWAYS. WE LOVE YOU.

HAPPY MOMMY’S DAY TO ALL MOTHERS OUT THERE!!
